Been a quiet day at home today. I've not done any of the diy I intended - I woke up tired! I did the laundry so I have clean clothes for work and when I get back from holiday. I've been monitoring the Suffolk fire situation and the devastation to wildlife and habitat is dreadful. The caravan ("Josie") is a safe distance from the current fire and truth be told I'm more concerned about my home in Essex. We've still not had rain and are surrounded by cropped land and meadows that are tinder dry. It only takes one mistake.
We have an event at the community gardens tomorrow - a Teddy Bears Picnic, so went down this evening to get ready. I disturbed a beautiful but shy toad in the border clearing away dead leaves. He slowly backed away and hid his face beneath a leaf so he could watch what I was doing. Patio is clean and tidy, tea room (our classroom normally), gazebo and activities are all ready. I hope we get some guests tomorrow. I however will be at work.
It's delightful to come up to bed tonight and have a cool breeze in the bedroom. Last night was so uncomfortable.
