I pulled out loads of books, dvds, Blu-ray discs and collectables today and decided which of them I could bear to part with. Once done I had a look on eBay to see what they might fetch and found there were already loads of each item on there. While the prices weren't bad, they clearly weren't selling due to the volume available. I could go in lower, but when a Doctor Who magazine sells for four quid and that includes P&P then it feels like a lot of effort for maybe twenty quid.

So I took a look at World of Books who really do take the p with their offers of 17p or 50p for books that are relatively new and in great condition. I managed to get it up to £20 for about thirty items. I didn't complete the trade because I don't have a box and so left it for the rest of the afternoon.

Tonight I dug out a few Virgin New Adventures novels and some were getting offers of four or five pounds and then I scanned So Vile A Sin and the offer was £33.50. A quick check on eBay and it's selling for over a hundred (but again several copies). I've reduced the pile down to twenty items and I've now hit £80 which would be very useful.

I'm going to look for a box at work tomorrow, and then think hard about whether I can really let some of this go without regrets.
